Waiting Game

July 2, 2019

I got to play with some ideas today in the studio. I’m 2 months into my new project and the time is flying by! I’ve been so busy organising stuff and looking for participants that I haven’t had much time to actually take many photos! Now that it’s sorted I can get down to the fun part; making images and experimenting with ideas..

This shot was inspired by the amazing work of Korean artist Daehyun Kim. Based on a sketch, I wondered if I could translate the idea into a photo. I’m happy with how the image came out!

This is the kind of work that I enjoy the most. I absolutely love the challenge of working out how to make an idea into an image. I usually work from sketches I’ve done and then photograph all the components, then later stitch them together in photoshop. I always try to make them as ‘photo real’ as possible. To make them look like a single untampered image.

I’m really looking forward to experimenting some more tomorrow! #ilovemyjob
